Confirmation of your booking

We require a non-refundable deposit of 50% on accommodation.  The full amount has to be paid 30 days before arrival.  In the case of a cancellation 30 days before arrival 50% of the full amount is refundable and 15 days before arrival no refund will be made.

Health

Anti-malaria precautions should be commenced prior to departure and guests should bring their own insect repellent.  Consult your doctor for specific advice.

Passport and vissas

The onus is upon the guest to ensure that passports and visas are valid for the countries visited.

Responsibility clause

Neither the Lodge nor any person acting for, through or on behalf of the Lodge shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from any cause whatsoever and without restricting the generality of the afore going shall particularly not be responsible for loss or damage arising from any errors or omissions contained in its brochure or other literature, late or non-confirmation or acceptance of bookings, loss or damage caused by delays, sickness, injury or death, whether occasioned by negligence or not.

Self - Drive vechicles

You are responsible to take out own vehicle insurance cover.  Zambian Third Party Insurance on vehicles and trailers at border post - which is about R200.00 per vehicle and trailer valid for one month. Carbo Tax in Zambia depending on the vehicle capacity is approximately R300.00 per vehicle.  Kazangula Ferry crossing fee is R160.00 per vehicle.  Council levy of R 70.00 per vehicle and R 70.00 per trailer  All foreign vehicles has to pay a Cross Border Charge (CBC) permit when entering Namibia and which has to be handed in at the departing border post.  For Caprivi Region the permits are available in Katima Mulilo and cost R120.00 per vehicleand R80.00 per trailer.  All RSA vehicles have to display a ZA bumper sticker. It is advised that South African registered vehicles have a recent Police Clearance Certificate.  Parking at Sakazima Island Lodge is at owners risk.
