About
The Lodge caters for a maximum of fourteen guests (full board) in seven en-suite double chalets, to be spoiled and treated with real African hospitality. Individual groups can book the lodge for self-catering, making use of our fully-equipped kitchen, restaurant and boma area.
Each chalet has a private deck overlooking the channel system. This all combines to allow for a unique African wilderness experience in the luxury of an upmarket comfortable and safe environment on the Zambezi River. The 7 en-suite double chalets allows for privacy and comfort.
All required facilities are provided for meetings, activities, bar and superb meals. The lodge is privately booked for individual groups.
Buildings
The Lodge itself is built entirely of indigenous materials with an accent on comfort. The inherent rustic feel lends a unique atmosphere to the Lodge. Timber walkways meander through the islands forest and interlink the chalets to the Main Unit. This unit comprises of a communal bar, dining room, lounge and open-air boma with a large viewing deck which overhangs the river .

Some of the other enticing activities of Sakazima include boat rides, peaceful "makoro" excursions, island walks with great birding opportunities and the more adventurous can swim the rapids or go game viewing in nearby game parks.
A lovely campsite on the river bank is also available for guests with their own camping gear. We design tailor made adventures safaris to the remote north western Liuwa NP through the Barotse Floodplain and to various other areas in Southern Africa.
